New address is 510 H st- across from Sidamo. I spoke to the owner yesterday and told him how psyched we are to welcome him to the neighborhood!

510 would NOT be across from Sidamo. Sidamo's on the 400 block - 417 H Street NE. 510 would put it right next to Metro Mutts, as the info above said.

dave b, I hope the prize involves beer. Of course, it helps that I live on a parallel 500 block so the error was pretty easy to spot. Maybe not as easy for one of those only-ever-get-drunk-on-the-East-End-of-H types.

Wasn't there supposed to be a French restaurant going in there? I remember seeing building permits and everything. Is that dead now?

Anyone know what is going in on the northwest corner of H and 12th? Looks like a bar to me...doing some good construction inside with the bar and tables set up already on Saturday.

The NW corner is going to be the Casbah. It's a restaurant seriving Pakistani and Indian food. Across the street is a new hookah bar from the owner of Souk.

@rpw - IIRC, the French place was supposed to be 502 or 504 H NE. The last rumor that I heard was that it was still on, but on temporary hold due to unrelated circumstances.

Speaking of new places, any word what's happening on the SW corner of H & 14th? It was renovated last year, then boarded up, and I noticed last week that the boards on the windows have come down. There's a long bar with stools inside so I'm guessing a bar or restaurant.

@dt-- last I heard that was going to be a pizza/wine bar (old sun & moon building).
I also saw that the boards are down, and there is a completed bar and stools and seating areas visible. Finally some progress on that corner!

As I walked by that French place (next door to the flower place)earlier today I asked one of the workers there how things are going and when the expected completion date is. He said in about 2 months. I forgot the name of it, but he said they also have one on Wisconsin Ave. He also said that it will be two stories.
